We had a baby blessing to go to on Sunday in Salt Lake, so we decided to go up to Park City on Saturday and play and then drive down to SLC and get a hotel. It was so much fun to spend the weekend with our little family.
We drove to Park City and saw the beautiful waterfalls through Provo canyon. We went down the Alpine Slide which Oakley had to do herself and loved! But we also had to ride the lift up which scared the crap out of her! She refused to look down or look behind us, and had a death grip on my arm the whole time. I didn't know she was so scared of heights! After we did the slide we went to the Columbia store to buy some winter coats for the kids. While we were there Kix decided to run away from us. Seriously we couldn't find him for like 5 minutes. I almost had a heart attack! I was thinking horrid things like someone had snatched him. It was HORRIBLE! Finally we found him and decided that we probably should invest in those kid leash things. I've always thought they were crazy, but with a kid like Kix you definitely need something like that!
After that fun adventure we drove to Salt Lake, got some dinner, and a hotel room. It was Kixs first time in a hotel and he did really good. We went swimming before bed which is always fun. And it was nice to not be in a mad rush to get to the church on time the next morning.
The baby blessing was very nice. Brent did a good job and Cadence look pretty in her dress. We went and had some lunch afterward where Kix spilled pop all over him and so the wasps that were there kept trying to land on him. One succeeded and he was so scared he screamed bloody murder. We all thought it had stung him, which thankfully it didn't! After that he climbed in my lap and made me hold him tight! Oakley was playing on the playground with all the cousins and having fun during all this! We decided to take the kids to Cabelas on the way home since Kix has never been and its been a while since Oakley has been there. They LOVED the fish tanks! And it was fun to watch their faces as they saw things like the Zebras, the Bears, or huge elk. If any of you have never been to Cabelas and you have kids (or even if you don't) you should definitely take them. Even if you aren't a hunter. It is cool to see all the mounts they have.
Finally we were on our way home. We got home, unpacked, made a little dinner, and it was time for bed. Thanks Cade for taking us out for such a fun weekend! I love spending time together as a family!

Sounds like such a fun trip. I'm sad we couldn't be there to see everyone. Why no pics? Kix is such a crazy kid! Love you!
