Santa

We had our ward christmas party a couple weeks ago and santa came. Kix didn't like him, but then I didn't expect him to. Oakley didnt even want to go sit on his lap. She said she saw him, and that was enough. Crazy kids!

Oh the joys of Christmas! Its funny that someone who brings so much joy is so terrifying!

Trouble Maker!

I seriously can not turn my back on this child of mine! He is into EVERYTHING! The other day he climbed onto a chair and got a permanent marker that was on a cupboard and proceeded to draw on the carpet! So the next half hour or so was spent with me trying to scrub it out! He definately keeps me on my toes! And I have to really watch what he is doing now that he knows how to move chairs and climb onto things!

But I can't stay mad at this smile!

All I want for Christmas...

After fighting her and practically holding her down to get those dang teeth out, we finally did it! She was way excited that she can sing that song and it is true!!

Fall leaves

I am still pretty far behind on my posting. Here are some pictures of Oakley and Kix playing in the leaves. They had the funnest time! Anytime we went outside Kix would run as fast as he could to the leaf pile and jump in. He really liked when Oaks would pick some up and throw them in the air. I am to happy that they get along so well, and that Oakley takes the time to be such a great big sister!

First

We did something at our house that has never been done before. Not in 6 years. I was nervous to do it. She has been talking about it for a little while, so when she came and said she was serious, we went for it.

Yes my little girl now has bangs! It has been a couple days and I am still not used to it! It may not seem dramatic to some people, but it was for us!

It is just soooo different.

I still think she is beautiful, but wow is it a change!

Kix

I have taken quite a few pictures of Kix lately, but haven't posted any of them, so here are some of them. Sorry there is kinda an overload!

Cade's dad and mom got Kix this rocking horse for his birthday, and he LOVES it! He can climb on it himself now, and he is always on it just rocking away!

Kix doesn't very often fall asleep anywhere but his crib, but the other day after dinner he was super tired and fell asleep in his high chair. He really does sleep with his arms under his head like that! :)

I think he looks so big in this outfit!

If this cupboard is open it is his favorite place to play!!

I love this little guy of mine, and he keeps our house full of laughs and smiles!

Halloween

We had a good Halloween this year. Oakley was a witch and Kix was a monkey. We made the rounds trick or treating, and the kids got lots of candy!

Oakley loved her witch costume! I thought she looked very pretty!

Kix had the cutest monkey costume (thanks to Angi!).

He looked super cute in it!

I was hoping to get a picture of the kids together with both of them smiling, but Kix wouldn't cooperate. Poor guy was really tired.

The Zoo

We decided to take the kids to the zoo a couple weeks ago. This was Kix's first time and Oakley hadn't been for a couple years, so it was fun to see their reactions! Kix got so excited, squealed, and talked like crazy when he saw all the animals! It was really really cute! Oakley was just anxious to see everything. We would look at one animal for just a minute before she was asking what animal we were going to see next! We had to stop and see the baby elephant a couple different times. It was a cute little thing! I'm glad that we decided to take them this year and that we had such a fun family day!

We had to let them ride on the carousel. Oakley stood there looking at all the animals trying to decide which one she wanted to ride. She picked a few different ones before deciding on the giraffe!

Kix thought this was just the funnest! He just laughed and smiled the whole time!

Oh Boy!

So Kix is one of those kids that we have to close the bathroom door or else he gets into anything he can. Including the toilet..Yuk! So the other day I got done showering and went to go get dressed. Well I forgot to close the bathroom door, and when I came out of my room this is what I came out to! He had taken probably half a roll of toilet paper and it was all over my living room! This boy definately keeps me on my toes!!!!!

Curlformers & the first day of school

Oakley started school last wednesday. She looked so big this year! It is crazy that I have a first grader. I love this little girl, but I was kinda excited for school to start. She gets bored really easy, so its been good for her to have things to do all day!

A couple weeks ago we put curlformers in Oakleys hair. She thought she looked really silly with them in, but when we took them out the curls we got were very pretty!

Oakleys Birthday

My little girl turned 6 a couple weeks ago! She is getting so big. We had a birthday party in Oak City with cake, ice cream, and presents. Thanks everyone for making her birthday a good one!
