Fishing

We went to our friends cabin last weekend for a night. It was tons of fun! We got to take Oakley fishing, and just relax and had a fun time. Oakley especially loved riding on his horses and fishing. She got to reel in all the fish, and had a blast doing it.

This is the first fish of the day, and as you can tell she is super excited! The fish had just jumped out of the water when I took this picture. She thought that was pretty neat!!

Everyone told her that she had to kiss the fish. She didn't want to do it, so everyone started offering her dollars to do it. After it got to 3 dollars she decided that she would do it! She ended up kissing every fish we caught after that!!!

BBQ

We went up the canyon last night and had a Bar B Q with some of our friends. It was a lot of fun to get up into the mountains! The kids all had a great time running around getting dirty. I am so glad that it has finally warmed up and that it is camping time!!!

Swim Lessons

Yay we are finally done with swim lessons!! I put Oakley in 2 back to back sessions so that she could get more comfortable in the water. She finally got to the point that she would put her whole head in the water without freaking out, so they were definately worth it! But I do have to say that going everyday for 4 weeks got old, so I am glad that they are done! I just want to say thanks to mom for helping me out and taking her when I was working. You are awesome and I love you!!!!

Where have you been?

I saw this on Tiffanys page and thought it was pretty cool. This is everywhere that I have been in the US. Including places that I have just been to the airport (layovers). I thought it was really fun to see!!! Most of the states were visited with my family. The others are from my 8th grade trip and my trip last year to see Kimmie! Maybe someday I will have been in them all!!

New Kitty

Cade surprised me and Oakley the other day with a new baby kitty! Oakley was so excited and said "I just can't believe that my daddy got me a kitty!" it was so cute, and it made her sound so big. Oakley was asking what we were going to name the kitty, so I told her she could name it anything that she wanted. The name that she came up with is...are you ready....RIVER DOLPHIN!!! Don't asking me where she came up with that, but we now have a baby kitty named River Dolphin! Isn't it so funny what kids come up with!

New Car

We got a new car!! Well almost new, it is a 2006 Ford Fusion and I LOVE IT!!!! We have been thinking about getting one for a while now, but always decided that we needed to wait. Well when we saw this one at just the right price, we said what the heck. That and the fact that gas is over $4 a gallon! But I love it so much. Thank you Cade you are the best ever!!!!!




I am really excited about the built in DVD player! That was a helpful selling point!!

Slippin Slide

Today was a beautiful day, so I let Oakley and Zoey try out Oakleys new slippin slide! They mostly like just standing under the water. I was trying to get Oakley to run and slide down it, so this is what she would do. She would run up to it, stop, and flop down on her belly thinking she would go sliding down!! Not quite right, but as long as she was having fun!!!!

New trampoline

We finally got our new, used, trampoline set up yesturday! We got it around the end of the year last year when Cade's sister moved. But it was cold, so we decided to store it until it was warm again. Since it has been warm I have been begging Cade to set it up. (He has been hesitant because he is sure that Oakley is going to break a limb playing on the thing!) So finally I got him to set it up yesturday. The set up process was.....interesting. That is the best word I can use to describe it. We would get a good section up, just as another section would fall. But finally we got it done, and Oakley was so excited to have her own tramp here at her house! It will be a really fun thing to have, I just hope that I am not writing about broken limbs anytime like Cade is worried about!!!!
