Kix's First Birthday

Last friday on the 2nd my baby had his 1st birthday! We had a party for him at the family bbq we always have on the 4th. He got lots of presents, and had fun destroying his cake! It makes me sad to think he is already getting so big! But he is only getting funner and funner! He is definitely getting a personality on him, and is starting to throw little fits if you don't give him what he wants. He gives the biggest sweetest smiles, and I love listening to him laugh! He has 5 teeth with a 6th one almost poking through. He weighs 23 lbs and is almost 31 inches long. And he still doesn't like loud noises or holding still (especially in church). I love him so much, and I'm so thankful he is my baby boy!!!

The dinosaur cake I made for Kix. I made him his own little dinosaur cake head, so he didn't ruin the cake for everyone else!

It didn't take long for the cake to disappear. He didn't even eat it, just mushed and played in it till there was nothing left!!

Lake Powell

We had the opportunity to go down to Lake Powell with my Uncle Gary and stay on his house boat. It was so much fun! We just layed around and played in the water! Oakley was only out of the water to eat and sleep it seemed like! Kix loved the sand and water! All of us adults had fun playing cards at night, even if mom called us all names! Thanks Uncle Gary for such a fun time!

We stopped at the Dam and took a tour and looked around. It's amazing the things man can build!

Maple Grove

So I should have posted this a while ago, but I'm just getting to it now. This is Memorial Weekend. We drove over to maple grove for the day and bbq'ed some lunch and Cade took Oaks fishing! It was such a nice day, and even though we were only there for a few hours it was way fun!

Fun Times

I watched my niece Harlie for a few hours a couple weeks ago. Her and Kix had a super fun time playing in my garden! Its funny to watch them together. Harlie is always trying to crawl over Kix and then they try to steal whatever toy the other one has. I love that they are so close in age. Hopefully they stay friends as they get older!

Kix LOVES water! If there is a puddle anywhere on the sidewalk, he is there as fast as he can get to it! So he is a mess most of the time we are outside, but he has fun, and that is all I care about!

Family Pictures

We got some new family pictures done about a month ago. I think they turned out cute. Here are only a few of them, we got a bunch done with my whole family. Its hard to get a good one of all of us, but I think they turned out pretty good.

First Haircut!

Kix got his first haircut on friday. His hair was getting really long and so Cade and I decided to cut it. I think he looks super cute! This first picture is of him before the haircut. He looks super sleepy and cute!

And here is the after picture. We buzzed his head! Its a change, and it took a minute to get used to, but I think he looks so big and cute!

Oakley and Kix have been having so much fun with each other lately! Every where Oakley goes Kix follows very close behind. If it is bedtime and Kix is in Oakleys room, she will pull him up onto her bed for story time! They laugh so hard at each other. It is just fun to watch them together! I love my little ones, and am very thankful that they are mine!
